Harry’s Razor Review

Alright, so I went ahead and gave it a shot. It’s a pretty convenient system if you think about it. You have a package delivered to your door every month (or 2 or 3) with everything you need to shave.

In the unboxing video I had a few concerns about they logistics of this method. What would happen if you ran out of blades before the month was up? What if you’re travelling and run out of blades? -Basically the accessibility of the blades. This was a major concern because they only give you one cartridge when you start.

BUT, how good is the shave? A key factoid to being a Better Gentlemen is based on your appearance. You need to look sharp. Doesn’t matter if you choose to shave, have a bit of stubble or a full grown beard. You need to look well-groomed.

The difference between a creepy guy and a classy guy is how he wears what he has. Nobody likes the guy with a bunch of cuts on his face and stubbly patches in the wrong spots wearing a wrinkly suit.

When it comes to this product here- that’s exactly what I got. A bunch of cuts, rough patches around the chin, and a bunch of drag when I ran the blade across my face. The gel they gave isn’t a good fit at all. It clogs up the razor way too quick and despite hydrating the surface of your skin while you shave, it tends to dry it out when you are done.

To be fair, this was supposed to be more of an endurance test. I hadn’t shaved the day before and wanted to see how well this blade would handle with a lot of stubble. It didn’t- at all. I had to do multiple run-throughs. And it hurt. A lot. Definitely not a blade you want to have if you’ve been skipping a few days.

To give them an even shot, I’ll keep trying them every day this week. Stay tuned!
